Phillip Shippers

Phil was born in Germany on July 21, 1960, and passed on January 9, 2021 in Kansas City, MO. He was the youngest of three children of a military family who experienced life on various bases stateside including an extended stay in Japan. Phil attended Kansas State University and later graduated from the University of Missouri. Phil loved trout fishing with buddies every spring and fall in addition to boating at Stockton Lake. He was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church in Raytown, Missouri, where he came to know and love his savior Jesus. Phil was preceded in death by his parents Buzz and Marian as well as several very close friends. He is survived by his wife Lauri, sister Kathy Bartley, brother Kirk Shippers (Valerie), and step-mother Barb Shippers.
