Sheldon Mickey
Born April 12, 1966, in Topeka Kansas. Died April 25, 2021, in Overland Park Kansas.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his grandparents Marvin and Dola Johnson. He is survived by his
mother Nedra Mickey, his children Rachel Hunt and Cora Mickey and girlfriend Karin Fowler. Sheldon will be most remembered for his sixteen-year career at the Kansas City Chiefs. He formed many
lasting relationships during his years acting as senior game day producer for the Chiefs.
Sheldon loved all things pop culture and considered himself a vast storehouse of useless knowledge on
the subject. Music was a constant part of his life whether he was playing an instrument, putting videos to music or just listening around the house, music always surrounded him. Sheldon was an avid foodie. He
was always excited to try new eateries. It was his habit to look up the menu ahead of time, study it and put
a lot of thought into what he would order. If he liked what he ate, he would often try to re-create it at home.
He especially loved to make entire meals on the grill outside.
Sheldon’s celebration of life will be held at the Aztec theater 11119 Johnson Dr, Shawnee Kansas 66203
on Sunday, May 16 from 3 to 5 PM. Please no black clothing. Sheldon wanted a true celebration so bring
your smiles and your fun memories of Sheldon.
