

Wayne Potter

Wayne Edward Potter, born November 19, 1952, to Robert Wayne Potter, Sr. and Clara
Charlotte (Uhlin) Potter. He passed away on August 10, 2019, surrounded by his family.
Wayne lived and loved life to the fullest, at a time without caution. His biggest
accomplishment was when he overcame his addictions to drugs and alcohol when he
turned his life over to Jesus Christ. That was his hope that everyone found that same
hope and joy in their life. Wayne was baptized in faith at LifeQuest Church August 20,
2006. Wayne served his country in the United States Army from May 1980 to April 1986.
Wayne graduated from Belton High School 1971 and later attended Ozark Technical
Community College. He worked at McDowell Tire and GCR Tire, then later as an over
the road truck driver for Prime, Inc. and JB Hunt Transportation Services. He ended his
career in the trucking business at Classic Masonry.
Wayne is proceeded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Potter, Sr. and mother,
Clara Charlotte Potter. He leaves behind his siblings; Patricia Garrett (Joe), Melvina Milford, Elayne Allison,
Susan Baxley (Lindy), Albert Potter (Louise), John Potter (Carolyn), Jerry Potter, and
Robert Potter, Jr. His Children; Dustin Potter and Courtney Barry Paul, and his
Stepchildren; Ginger Stark and John Patterson, and a multitude of nephews, nieces,
cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.
Wayne’s Celebration of Life was held at 4:00 pm, August 15, 2019, at LifeQuest Church,
1400 North Scott, Belton, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, Wayne has asked for a donation to the American Lung Association, the
American Cancer Society, or LifeQuest Church in his memory.
